Children's Ministry

Mission Statement

To complement each family's effort to lay down a spiritual foundation that, in God's timing, will lead each child into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

This Children's Ministry Team works together to provide Bible-based, purposeful curriculum and dynamic programming to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of our children here at Towne South.

Children's ministry is an investment with guaranteed return. When we invest in children, we are investing in the future in every way imaginable. and that investment is exponential because it is eternal.

Whether your children would be rocking in the laps of some of our Nursery staff, "rock'n the boat" with the preschoolers in ARK or learning that "life with Jesus ROCKS!" in the K-5th grade JAM sessions, we invite you to join us. Come be a part of what God is doing in this place and through this family of believers.

Your Job

Too often we rely on the minister, Sunday school teacher, or youth minister to be the primary spiritual influence for our kids. The problem is we only spend, at most, three hours a week at church. What about the other 164 hours? Going to church on Sunday is important, but the greater importance is Jesus being the center of our homes- everyday.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7 commands dads and moms to take everyday opportunities to impress God’s Word upon the hearts of their children. This scripture and many others are foundational to raising spiritual champions for Christ.

Our kid's worship time is fondly called JAM, which stands for Jesus And Me. Here at Towne South we want to help parents and children understand that for each of us this life really is a about "Jesus And Me" and that God's design for the family is that their faith be woven into every aspect of our lives. We also know that a few helpful tools go a long way in helping us all accomplish that. We've come up with a fun way of getting some of those tools in the parent's hands. Every 5th Sunday, each family will receive a "JAM Box" filled with fun activities, creative ideas, goodies, and easy to use materials that will spark discussions about faith and help us continue to build our homes on the "Rock," Jesus Christ.

Where we Anchor *R* little Kids in Christ

Serving our Preschoolers

The ARK sets sail every Sunday morning on a new adventure of learning about our awesome God. This ministry serves families with preschool age children and works to help them Anchor ouR little Kids in Christ. This ministry is available during both the Sunday School hour and the Worship Service.

To provide an extra measure of security, especially for our younger children, we ask that all parents follow the registration Sign-In/Sign-Out procedure. The ARK staff will be available to assist in any way needed.

Our JAM (Jesus And Me) sessions serve to provide an inviting and exciting worship experience for children grades K through 5th. To keep things age appropriate and manageable, we offer a class for the K-2nd graders and a class for the 3rd- 5th graders. We have a great group of teachers who help lead this ministry.

JAM is a place where our children can connect - to friends, a church family, and the surest thing of all - JESUS CHRIST. JAM is offered during both the 8:45 AM and 11:15 AM worship services on Sunday mornings, and we have a special CampJAM session on Kid Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 PM.

Our nursery staff and volunteers understand that this ministry has a vital role in meeting the spiritual needs of many of our families. The nursery provides care for infants through 24 months, depending upon individual needs. Our wonderful nursery staff serves diligently on a rotation basis, which allows the nursery to be available during Worship services, Sunday School, and on Wednesday evenings.

In an effort to provide an extra measure of security, we do ask that all parents  follow the registration sign-in/sign-out procedure. Our nursery staff will be available to assist in any way needed.

We thank you for entrusting your "little ones" to our care. We know that this type of trust is a "big deal," and we will do our best to provide the safest, cleanest, and most nurturing environment possible.
